Lionfish are actually native to the tropics and the Red Sea. They migrated to the Mediterranean Sea via the Suez Canal a few years ago. Since they have no natural enemies here, they can reproduce unhindered. And they do so diligently: each female lays up to 30,000 eggs – every two days! This makes them an omnipresent threat to the native inhabitants: lionfish are optimally camouflaged by their spotted colouring and are among the most successful hunters in the Mediterranean.
They grow up to 40 centimetres, have poisonous spines and are spreading rapidly in the Mediterranean: Lionfish, also called lionfish. An EU-funded project has now declared war on the poisonous fish, which destroy coral reefs and decimate other fish species. For example, you would like to stay a little longer on a deeper wreck, but you don’t feel like doing the deco stops that you would then certainly have to do, or you would like to have more safety here? Then you should learn how to use a double pack, a wing jacket and a stage.
Diving with a gas change underwater requires practice and discipline.
In order to learn to perform deco dives safely and in a relaxed manner, you should prepare yourself conscientiously. How? You can learn this individually and purposefully with us in your CMAS/IDA Nitrox Advanced Diver course.

Finally diving on a wreck that is possible for almost every scuba diver.
The Elpida Wreck was a Greek container ship and the name means Hope in Greek. She is almost 70m in length and lies at a depth of 30 metres.
The top of the hold is at 20m and the bottom is 27m, with the general quarters and bridge at depths between 20m and 14m.
The tip of the masts are at 10m and the wreck is nice and flat on the seabed.
